Dreams to Millions Financial Planner 2019 Review

First of all, Happy New Year! We're already midway January 2019. If you still do not have a planner for this year then I might be able to help you in that department.

I was given the Dreams to Millions Financial Planner 2019 by Krissy Domingo of Idea School to review for this blog. And maybe, by the end of this post, you make it as one of your options in choosing your planner.

Dreams to Millions Financial Planner 2019 Review

First Impression

I love the playful wordcloud on the cover. It's very eyecatching. Plus it's green which is the color of wealth. Surprisingly, this hardbound financial planner is very light to carry. it could fit into your everyday bag.

What's inside

The personal information page includes the basics, (such as your name and usual contact details), as well spaces for your social media handles.

This planner is all about goal-setting and has dedicated pages for your goal for the year, your monthly goals and travel goals.

There is also a page for the famous ipon or savings challenge so that you can keep track of how much you already have.

Articles by financial experts about how to save, invest, how to get out of debt and many more are also inside this planner. My personal favorite would be the article which explains all these head-scratching financial terms. I think that these articles are quite helpful.

Each month starts with a lovely motivational quote and a page for your monthly expenses and savings to keep you in check.

Dreams to Millions Financial Planner 2019 Review

The Dreams to Millions Financial Planner is a dated weekly planner which is printed across 2 pages. It has a vertical layout. This is my first planner that has this layout and I personally love this because it's easier to look at when you want to take a quick glance of your week.

Each spread also has a space for your top priorities, things you are grateful for, weekly savings and your #YOLOlist.

Below each page, you have the notes section. However, I think the space is quite small. I wish they had dedicated pages for notetaking because I always go to conferences and sometimes I tend to write on my planner. But, I do understand that this may make the planner thicker. So if you choose this planner, you better carry a separate notebook if you are attending lecture/conference/convention. (For this purpose, I use my travel journal).

Why should you get it?

I think this planner would be perfect for Millenials and those who are starting out in their careers. It can help you not only in tracking your finances but also your everyday life. The articles inside this planner can help you in deciding how to spend your hard-earned cash or how to make it grow.

You can get the Dreams to Millions Financial Planner online by visiting the My Idea School website.

Sex and Pregnancy: Is it safe to do it?

Valentines Day is just around the corner. And although it is not the only way to celebrate the occasion, many of you might wonder, is it safe to have sex during pregnancy?

Our Afternoon at Adventure Zone in Shangri-La at the Fort

We decided to celebrate my birthday last December by having a staycation in Shangri-La at the Fort. One of the reasons why I chose this hotel was to check out Adventure Zone.

Adventure Zone Shangri-la the Fort

Adventure Zone is a 1000-square meter indoor playground inside Shangri-la at the Fort that I thought Henry might enjoy. And, I was right!

As soon as we got there, his eyes sparkled with excitement. It’s a great place for toddlers, big kids and even for parents.

#5YearsLater : Life Goals Achieved

Happy New Year everyone! I have to admit that this blog has been neglected for a long period of time. I started this blog a long time ago when I was still a wee medical student and I wanted to document my life as I struggled between med school and motherhood. Looking at my sidebar profile, I realized that a lot has changed since then.

For starters, I am not a twenty-something anymore. I now belong to the Thirtysomething Gang (Gilmore girl reference). Aside from my age, I hope that those added years gave me more wisdom.

I’m proud to say that the lawyer-in-making has finally achieved his ultimate goal last year. The results of the bar exam came out on the 2nd quarter of last year and he passed it on his first take.

And my little boy, well, he’s not so little anymore. He grew an average of 1/2 an inch per month in 2017.
May 2017 when the husband signed the rolls of attorneys
December 2017

He’s turning 10 years old this month and almost a tween. From making homemade playdoh, he now loves playing Roblox on his laptop. But, he’s still as sweet and ever.

As for me, I am now licensed to heal. I passed the medical boards 3 years ago. It seems like only yesterday when I was picking out my clothes for my first day of internship

After the boards, I went straight into residency. This is why I haven't been updating the blog. I am now training to be an OB-GYN. I still have years left before I am done with it but I know that with the grace of God, he will allow me to finish this and guide me on this new journey.

How has your life changed from 5 years ago? I would love to hear about your story in the comments section.

5 Mommy Closet Must-Haves

5 Mommy Closet Staples

Last Thursday, I got to attend the annual Smart Parenting Magazine Meet and Greet for avid readers and fans. It was such a fun and awesome event. (read about it here).

One of the speakers was Cosmopolitan Magazine (PH) Fashion Director Donna Cuna-Pita.  Being a mom herself, Donna shared 5 closet staples that every mommy must have:

1. The little black dress (LBD)

Every mom, well every woman, should have an LBD in her closet. It's our go-to dress especially for sudden occasions. The LBD goes well with both heels and flats. Just make sure that you choose a dress depending on your own body type.

2. Good fitting pants

We all know how hard it is to find good fitting pants. Donna advises that if we find one, buy two pairs. Why? Because chances are, we will use it often.

3. A good set of underwear

When was the last time you bought a new set? Hopefully it wasn't during your last pregnancy. When choosing panties, go for the plain old cotton panties - preferably in beige or nude color.  Black or white can usually be seen through your clothes' fabric. And don't get the lacy ones, unwanted adipose might bulge out.

3. All-purpose bag

You know us moms, we bring everything but the kitchen sink. Mommies should have an all purpose bag that we can grab and go. Choose a bag that you can use for several occasions, be it for a play date or a lunch date with your amigas.

5. A crisp white top

Donna suggests that we invest on a wrinkle-resistant crisp white top. Like the LBD, it would go with anything. Plus, it provides for a classic look.

Do you have everything on Donna's list or would you like to add something to it? Please, do tell. I'd love to hear from you.
